Breaking Frames Show at The Eubie Blake Cultural Center

  • Eubie Blake Cultural Cneter 847 North Howard Street Baltimore, MD, 21201 United States (map)

Breaking Frames – an art project involving 60 students at Renaissance. The goal of this project is to connect the students of Baltimore to artists from across the country, possibly the world, and host a one of a kind art show in Baltimore. The students will be writing about the ways that they are challenging stereotypes and breaking down the narrow frames through which society views them as black youth in Baltimore.
This project will not only give the students an outlet to have their voices be heard, but also as a way for people from far reaching places to come together and share their experiences and art.

Every artist involved will be creating a piece of art inspired by a student’s writing. Each student will receive a print of the artwork that they inspired and all original artworks will be auctioned off.  All proceeds will benefit student enrichment programs. (
