When our Executive Director was named “UMB’s 2016 Public Servant of the Year,” it was noted that “IF team building were an Olympic event, Bronwyn Mayden would earn a gold medal.” During the past month, that skill has been more self-evident than ever, so you’ll understand why we were thrilled to hear that Bronwyn, who received her MSW in 1977, was honored as “Alumni of the Year” by The University of Maryland School of Social Work (UMSSW.)
The UMSSW’s rich history features graduating social workers and professionals who embody the ethics and character that the National Association of Social Work requires.
Recently, the UM SSW Alumni Association, together with Dean Richard Barth, were proud to acknowledge its graduates who have demonstrated exemplary service to the field of social work, and chose Bronwyn as its 2020 winner.
We couldn’t imagine any better moment for Promise Heights’ Executive Director to receive this important honor! Learn more about this award, and also learn about the other award winners.
