Since March 16, 2020 when Baltimore City Public Schools (BCPSS) first engaged in remote learning, our Promise Heights team has helped bridge challenges faced by students and families in the five public schools in Upton/Druid Heights.

We have helped empower students by providing digital devices and WiFi access, programmed countless joy-filled virtual experiences and social/emotional learning for students and their families, and so much more. This month, we are pleased and hopeful that a sense of normalcy is returning to our community schools.

We imagine that someday when reflecting on their first in-school experiences of this past week, these students may tell their children and grandchildren about entirely new safety rituals that kept them healthy.
